TODAY'S PROGRAM

Launch Lenawee

Matk & Mary Murray

Mark and Mary Murray (Former and current Adrian Noon Rotarians respectively) were today’s featured program. They spoke to us about the very successful Launch Lenawee which is currently in its 11th year!! Mary paid special recognition to the Adrian Royaru Clubs who have been faithful supporters of this fine program and to specific members.

How does Launch Lenawee work? Here are the specific steps that Mark and Maty shared:
Step 1: Connect & Assess (Meet with a representative to evaluate your unique business needs)
Step 2: Attend Business Owner Education (Commit to the 12-week Kauffman FastTrac program).
Step 3: Take Advantage of Expert Resources (Leverage expert advice through "Ask the Experts")
Step 4: Network & Grow (Build connections at networking functions to unlock potential micro-lending).
Step 5:  Connect with the Adrian Armory Makerspace Kitchen (Food Business)
Step 6:  RED TIRE (Redefining Retirement)

They explained that each of the budding entrepreneurs will be required to:
  • Fully participate in the 12-week educational curriculum.
  • Attend local networking opportunities and events
  • Pay a small program fee to secure enrollment and support resource sustainability.
Launch Lenawee, the Murray's said, is the result of research and support from organizations such as:
  • Adrian Noon & Morning Rotary
  • Lenawee Now
  • Adrian/Tecumseh SmartZone
  • Our own amazing professional resources in Lenawee County!  YOU!
  • It is Volunteer Driven!
They concluded by noting a number of their successful graduating Entrepreneurs!

UPCOMING FIRESIDE CHAT

It's been quite a while since our club conducted what Rotary refes to as a "Fireside Chat'. A Rotary fireside chat is an informal, small group orientation and social gathering for new Rotary members. Typically hosted in a member's home or a relaxed venue, it provides a casual environment to learn about Rotary's history, the club's service projects, and how to get involved.

The primary goals of a fireside chat include:
  • Orientation: Educating new members on Rotary traditions, values (like the Four-Way Test), and how the club operates.
  • Fellowship: Fostering deeper, personal relationships between newer members, club leaders, and seasoned mentors.
  • Feedback: Allowing club leadership to hear what local causes and projects members are most passionate about.
A firm date is yet to be determoned but it will be very soon as our club recently inducted 4 new members recently!!Mark and Mary Murray offered to host and conduct this event! More info coming.
