In keeping with the holiday season, the Michener Elementary School entertained the audience today by singing a medley of Christmas songs. Following their performance, Susan Tobey asked a number of holiday trivia questions and she was followed by a written test to see what our knowledge was relative to the titles of popular Christmas songs given on one line or less of lyrics.

Our Newest Member - Nathan Burd, Adrian City Administrator was inducted by his sponsor, Mark Murray, as the club's newest member.
Nathan Burd became the Adrian City Administrator on December 17, 2018. Prior to his appointment in Adrian, Nathan served for nearly three years as the Administrator and Clerk for the Village of Wolverine Lake in Oakland County. Before relocating to Michigan, Nathan held positions in state, county, and municipal government in his home state of Ohio, including serving as the Director of Public Service for the City of Reynoldsburg.
In 2003, Nathan attended a City Council meeting in his hometown with no agenda other to find out more about his own local government. Over the next few years, he would go on to chair that city’s Charter Review Commission and serve as a volunteer on three other city boards. In 2009, Nathan was elected to an at-large position on that City Council and was appointed by his colleagues to the position of President Pro Tempore in 2012. Whether as a volunteer, elected official, or staff member, Nathan has found the local level of government to be the most rewarding and impactful. He enjoys partnering with others to improve the community and he places a strong emphasis on ethical leadership, transparency, and collaboration.
Nathan has a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from The Ohio State University and a Master’s Degree in Management from Mount Vernon Nazarene University. He is a member of the International City Management Association and the Michigan Municipal Executives (MME) organization. Nathan lives in Adrian with his wife Jolene and their four children.
