Nate, co-chair of this year's event, spent a good deal of time updating members on the need for as many volunteers as possible next week, September 17. for the 6th Annual Lenawee Bike Tour event. Over $25k has been raised! Nate told members that he was sending around a sign-up sheet for the different areas where volunteers would be needed. Nate mentioned that the local Gleaner Arbor group agreed to help that day so he assigned them to the SAG station in Blissfield. There are only 2 riders signed up for the 60 mile route and 3 for the 40 mile route is all. It may, Nate said, be possible that sometime next week prior to the event, that we cancel the 60 mile event.
Nate mentioned that Bill Davis really designed some great routes this year. Nate said that he and Chip will go out on he routes next Wednesday and place the markings. That evening is a meeting at Greg's house to assemble the registration packets. Pizza will be provided. Thursday, they will finish up on the road markings. Friday, Nate said, he and Greg will place signs at various crossings. Saturday is the big day and we'll need help setting up the tent, registration tables, food, etc. Hope to see everyone next Saturday at the Trailhead at the Adrian Plaza!
