President Herrera honored Janelle and Christina Pasternak

Adrian Noon Rotary President Kathye Herrera introduced sisters Janelle and Christina Pasternak. The girls were the speakers at our January meeting and discussed the District 6400's youth rotary conference they attended last year in Livonia. Along with learning about Rotary, they participated in leadership sessions and meet students from District 6400 communites and from around the world including Brazil, Canada, etc. Over 100 high school students partipated in this annual event.
The Pasternak family lives in southern Lenawee County and includes eight siblings that have been predominately homeschooled. Janelle is in 12th grade and enjoys jewlery making and unicyling. She has not made a decision about which college she will be attending but may consider a culinary arts program. Christina is in 11th grade and enjoys reading, volunteering, and unicycling. She is still considering her higher education options. The girls have been active in the Lenawee Community Foundation Youth Council and had a opportunity to help out at our annual Christmas tree sale at the Image Center. They also recently participated in the Teen Iron Chef event at the Adrian Public Library.
