Program November 29th- Dr. Elizabeth Tibbs

     Jane Clark presented Dr. Elizabeth Tibbs who is the new Music Director for Siena Heights University and a close relative of both she and Patty.  Beth has been around the world with her music and is thrilled to be back home and at Siena.  She tells that Sister Peg decided the music program needed a boost, so Beth was hired to do just that. The new choir already boasts 60 singers and is going to perform at the Vatican December 27th, 2013.  She also designed a Major in Music at Siena which already has twelve students.  In the spirit of "Boosting" the music program Siena additionally has a thriving marching band and youth choir.  Beth has even written a "Spirit" song for the football team. 

     A point about Siena that came through clearly from Dr. Tibbs is that the University is large enough to have many different activities and eductional opportunities, but is small enough so students and faculty alike can take part in a wide variety of those rather than being "Pigeon Holed" into a very narrow venue.
