Program Oct. 4th- J.R.'s Hometown

Brent Mercer brought in Rob Loudermilk, owner of JR's Hometown Grill and Pub, for the program today. Rob managed Applebees, Mancinos and Garfields before venturing out on his own to open the first JR's in Adrian. He has since opened one in Tecumseh and Brooklyn with another to the North hopefully next year. JR's philosophy is to offer a big city meal in a small town at small town prices. They offer unique high quality fresh meals and strive for loyal repeat customers. Each location serves three to four thousand customers per week. With ongoing training, promotions from within and a fun friendly enthusiastic environment Jr's currently employs 140 people.
A couple of other important philosophies that Rob shared with us were doing business locally and being open to all forms of comments. He tries to do business with those who do business with him and constantly improve every aspect of the restaurants. Technology also plays a large roll in the improvements because he is able to video monitor all three locations from his home or smart phone.
