District Governor Michael Duben and Wife Shelly Visited our Club on July 21, 2011

District Governor Duben shared his, and  our Rotary President's,  three areas of focus for clubs in the coming year:

• Support our International Theme Reach Within, Embrace Humanity
• Using Technology To Improve Communications  
• Growing Our Rotary Foundation

He encouraged our club to provide hands on assistance with projects along with providing financial support and discussed our clubs strong history of Rotary Foundation giving. Did you know that our club has donated $232,951 in lifetime donations to the Rotary Foundation? These funds are partially returned to us to support local grants and used to do Rotary's work throughout the world.  He encouraged us to celebrate  when we reach our forthcoming milestone of $250,000 in donations and challenged us to meet the $100 per person goal.
