Tim Robinson introduced Jack Townsley, business solutions manager, from South Central Michigan Works.  Jack gave an update on work force development in Lenawee County.  Businesses are starting to hired again.  We hope this will continue for 2013.  Getting the right skills for unplace workers is one of our goals. Going back to school for training is crucial to pick up new skills for the new economy.  Jackson Community college and the LISD provides the teaching aspects to train the worker with the new skills.  Jack talked about them being used as a off site HR services for small businesses who need these services and cannot afford them.  The economy is picking up in Lenawee County and that is a good thing for everyone.
