Program November 15th

     District Governor, Mary Kehoe, first gave us an update on Hurricane Sandy victim relief.  A motor home was quickly filled to the brim with supplies and driven to Rotary in New Jersey.  It also served as sleeping quarters for other drivers because there is nowhere to stay.  Shortly thereafter, a full semi load was delivered.  This has been our short-term effort.  Donations to the recently established 501(C3) are needed for longer term support.  Those donations are tax deductible.

      Next, we were privileged to have Mary on hand to induct two new members, Kyle Griffith and Sandy Keener.  Kyle was sponsored by Jim Philp and Sandy by Roger Myers.  Theresa gave a bio. of Kyle in Jim's absence.  Kyle is the Assistant Superintendent at the LISD with many years of experience in education including Superintendent of Morenci schools.  He is married, has four children and enjoys exercise.  

     Roger introduced Sandy who is a Clinic Director at LCMH and soon to take over his postion as Executive Director when he retires in January.  Sandy is married, has two grown children and enjoys reading and gardening.  Fortunately for all of us,  Roger is much more brief when speaking about others rather than himself.
